It used to be called the dump.  Now, however, it's called the Integrated Resource Recovery Facility, or IRRF.  If you live in West Contra Costa County, anything you put in your recycling bin is brought into this shed and sorted into piles.

On Earth Day 2003, the IRRF people had a open house with tours, games, freebies, raffles, educational displays, live music, and free colored chalk.
