This here is the Park Theater on San Pablo Dam Road ("The Dam Road") in El Sobrante.  The Park is no longer the Park, it's Peniel Baptist Church, with a sizeable, active and very dressed-up congregation, and they've taken those beautiful letters down from the marquis.  Luckily my perspicacious camera caught the letters in their full, if understated, glory before that sad event.

Richmond Furniture is right next to Mira Vista post office. It promises to sell good furniture on good terms.  I have never been inside the store, but I do regularly scrutinize the building's twin towers, which I suspect of violating the laws of perspective.

When I first came across Sugar City, I was struck by such a whimsical name for a construction supply company.  As I found out, sugar processing was and is a major industry around here.  So much for romance, so much for imagination.  Sigh.
